Preserving the voices, memories and cultural heritage of Carriacou through oral storytelling.

Carriacou Stories is an evolving oral history project documenting the memories, migration journeys, traditions and cultural heritage of people connected to Carriacou, Grenada.
Through interviews and storytelling, we hope to preserve these voices for future generations.
Why we started
We started Carriacou Stories after realising how many memories, traditions and migration journeys were at risk of being lost with time. Through simple conversations with elders, family members and people connected to Carriacou, we began documenting stories about island life, culture, migration, identity and belonging.
What began as a personal journey has grown into a living archive of voices, experiences and memories that deserve to be preserved for future generations.
